Three Areas Where Florida Must Improve vs. Oklahoma

This is a Sooners team that also has a win over Texas, so Saturday, Nov. 7 gives the only two teams with that claim an opportunity to do battle.

Oklahoma hasn't won or lost consecutive games this season, so that's something Florida needs to be aware of as the Sooners just dropped a 17-point home game to South Carolina.

Should history repeat itself, that means that Oklahoma would pull out a win in Week 10, though it's never that easy.

Both of these teams are coming off multi-score losses, yet Florida remains in the AP Top 25 and has a chance to win over its home fans once again.

As obvious as it sounds, Florida knows the recipe to winning football games isn't by throwing three interceptions.

The Gators didn't throw a single passing touchdown against Georgia, and while that defense seems to be well above that of the Sooners, there's still no excuse for the quarterback controversy that's going on in Gainesville.

Aaron Philo was benched after going 5/7, but both of those incompletions just so happened to be interceptions.

Tramell Jones Jr. came into the game and went 18/25, throwing 172 yards with no touchdowns and an interception.

When Florida was on top of the world, Jadan Baugh was arguably the best running back in the country.

He didn't find the back of the end zone against Georgia, and that was a Bulldogs defense that held him to 38 yards on 17 carries.

If Florida wants to rebound against Oklahoma, they need Baugh to get going. He's averaged under 4.0 yards per carry in his last four outings, and that's a huge wake-up call after he averaged 11.4, 9.7, 6.2, and 4.9 yards per game in his first four.

It remains a mystery which version of the Gators' defense is going to show up. On a weekly basis, this defense could either be one of the best in the country, or they could allow a combined 83 points in back-to-back weeks.

Against Georgia, it was a 17-point second quarter that humbled Florida's defensive unit.

With Florida trailing 24-0 at halftime, that was all she wrote, even though the Gators only gave up three points the entire second half.
